Design that has to work, not just look finished.
Ethena Design and Innovation, LLC is a specialized design studio covering industrial and product design, interior and spatial design, brand identity, and digital product design — built to hold up past the first render.
One studio, four disciplines
Most projects need more than one of these at once — a product needs packaging, a space needs a brand inside it. We keep them under one roof so they stay consistent.
Industrial & Product Design
Physical products designed for how they'll actually be manufactured, shipped, and used — from early concept sketches through production-ready specifications.
Interior & Spatial Design
Workplaces, retail, and hospitality interiors designed around how people actually move through and use a space.
Brand & Visual Identity
Identity systems built to hold up across packaging, signage, and digital — not just a logo on a single mockup.
Digital Product & UX Design
Interfaces designed around what a person is actually trying to do, tested before it's built rather than after.
Five stages, every project
The discipline changes. The order a project moves through it usually doesn't.
Discover
Understanding the constraint, the user, and what "done" actually needs to mean here.
Define
A clear brief and success criteria before a single concept gets sketched.
Design
Concepts developed and narrowed against the brief, not against personal taste.
Prototype
Something real enough to test — physical, spatial, or interactive — before full production.
Deliver
Production-ready files and specifications, handed off in a form the next team can actually use.
Sectors we design for regularly
Categories where design decisions carry real cost if they're wrong, and real advantage if they're right.
What to expect, plainly
Fixed facts about how a project runs, not projections about a result we can't promise before scoping it.
What clients said
Representative feedback shared with permission; names withheld at clients' request.
"They pushed back on a shape we loved because it wouldn't mold correctly at scale. Annoying to hear, correct in hindsight."
"The brand system was the first one that still made sense once it hit the actual packaging line."
"They redesigned the floor plan around how our team actually walks through the space, not the org chart."
Common questions
Do you work on one discipline at a time, or combined projects?+
Both. Some clients need a single discipline — a brand refresh, an interior fit-out. Others need several working together, like a product launch that needs the object, its packaging, and its brand identity to land at the same time.
How long does a typical project take?+
A concept phase usually runs four to six weeks. Full projects through production-ready delivery vary widely by discipline and scope — this gets a real range after the discover stage, not before.
Do you handle manufacturing or construction, or just the design?+
We design for manufacturability and buildability and stay involved through handoff, but production itself is typically run by the client's manufacturer, contractor, or developer — coordinated closely with us rather than handed off blind.
How many concept directions do we see?+
Typically two to three distinct directions at the concept stage, narrowed to one before development — not a single option with no point of comparison.
What if we need changes after delivery?+
Revision rounds are scoped into the project upfront. Changes requested well after delivery and sign-off are scoped as new work, priced separately.
How is pricing structured?+
Project-based, scoped after the discover stage once the actual brief is clear — not a generic day rate applied regardless of what's being designed.

A short call first — what the project actually needs to accomplish, and which disciplines it touches, before anything gets scoped.
